Neurological hydrotherapy is a form of treatment within a warm pool. We are able to use the different properties of water in order to help increase strength, balance and range of movement in an environment where you are supported by the water. Our sessions are one to one and we have access to the pool via steps or a hoist.
How can it help?
Exercise - Hydrotherapy can be used to unload patients and support them to achieve positions that they are unable to achieve on land. This can be used in gait re-education as well as allowing individuals to access movement they can't when on land.
Pain - Hydrotherapy is useful in the treatment of pain and often allows individuals to exercise with reduced discomfort.
